10 differences between Georgia and Arizona

1. When you see a large black puff in the air it is not a large thunder storm coming, it is smoke from a large wild fire.
2. In Arizona if you say y'all at least one person giggles, in Georgia it is one of the most common words used.
3. In Georgia when there is evacuations it is because there is a Tornado coming, not wild fires.
4. In Georgia a dry spell means it has not rained in a week and lake lanier is getting smaller, in Arizona it has only rained .5 inches this year and it very normal.
5. In Arizona you don't have to worry about the state troopers pulling you over at a road block, you worry about getting chosen for a drug dog search at a road block from boarder controls permanent road blocks.
6. Georgia you worry about red clay staining your cloths, Arizona is the Jumping Cactus attaching you and putting holes in your pants.
7. When speaking of an immigrant in Arizona we are not speaking of someone from up North, we are talking about the illegal kind and from Mexico.
8. No such thing as Brusters, Waffle House, LongHorn Stakehouse, Moe's, Shane's, only 2 chick fil la's in Arizona. (I know, where do I eat?!?)
9. In AZ alcohol is served every day of the week.  Hard liquor is sold in almost every grocery store,  gas station and Walmart.  Dry counties in AZ mean they are in a wild fire risk.
10. Lastly, 0% humility is normal in AZ and although it is a dry heat at 110, it is still like sitting in an oven in stead of Georgia's hot steamer!

Re-packing

The fire on the Fort was put  out 100% so we were no longer in danger of evacuation.  Now the Monument fire is spreading from the high winds and we are on the boarder or pre evacuation again.... So now it is time to start re packing and getting things ready if the fire gets to much closer. Trying to decide what we should leave and what to bring is a little tough.  Clayton had to leave really early this morning to go on base to help with preventive measures for the Fort like dig trenches and get debris away from power lines and road ways.
Will try to keep everyone updated.

Fire update

So Monument fire has been slowly creeping up on us and today it is near our door step.  We are currently on Pre- evacuation. We have everything packed and ready if they do come knocking on our doors! There was a new fire on the Fort's grounds but they have put it almost put out and have currently re-opened the front gates. WHHEW.  Clayton was able to come home for a little bit, so that is a wonderful relief.  I will keep you updated on anything else that goes on!

Would appreciate all of your thoughts and prays.
